Happy New Year

Happy New Year! I’m moving my blog back to WordPress. Zenfolio has been having trouble with file uploads and image processing for the past six months and there is no end it sight. Therefore, I’ve decided go back to WordPress as my main blogging platform. I am also in the process of moving my WordPress site to a local host.

  1. This looks really nice.
I haven’t done anything with Zenfolio in a long time, and I should probably check it out and make sure not to renew it when it comes up again.
Happy New Year to you and Laurie, Tristan, and the kitties. I’m hoping the snow forecast for tonight is all wrong!! πŸ™‚ ))))))))

    • Thanks, Lavinia. WP is better for threads on conversations. Moving the site to SWCP, a local ISP who I have used at the office since 1994 and at home since 2000, will hopefully solve many of the problems I have with hosting on WordPress.com.

  2. A technology maxim: “If it’s not one thing, it’s another.”

All our best to you and Laurie in the coming year. To a smooth transition … πŸ™‚

    • Hi Inese. I’ve been on WP since 2011. For the longest time is was really trouble free, but then WP decided to make things more “user friendly”, and it went down hill from there. I’ve been on Zenfolio since 2009. They didn’t add a blog component until 2013 or 14, and I had no trouble with them until they started making changes this year.

      • Yes, the moment they start introducing their ‘user friendly changes’, something goes wrong. But isn’t it with almost everything? πŸ™‚
